A Space for highs, lows and growth
women’s health
The title “Women’s Health” encompasses SO MUCH! But to summarize some, I generally treat women with these experiences:
Leaking
Painful Intercourse
Prolapse
Diastasis Recti
Pregnancy
Postpartum
C-section recovery
Constipation
and more!
In women’s health we aren’t afraid of too much information, or talking about things that feel like taboo in other settings. This is the place to bring your questions, concerns, and “is this normal?”. Many women suffer silently for years because they either are too embarrassed to bring these thing up, or have been told they’re normal to deal with. Here, we advocate for a better quality of life for women so they aren’t carrying unnecessary burdens.
Pregnancy and Postpartum corrective exercise specialist
This certification was such an awesome course to work through. It took 6+ months of self-study to finish this 35 credit hour course, but it was so worth it!
Through the course I learned:
How the diaphragm, posture and breathing impacted what I already knew about the core, pelvic floor and hips
How to approach the body in a more comprehensive way to address the root cause.
Intentional, research-backed movements that make a real difference for patients
Taking this class while recovering from having our second baby made such a difference for me:
I connected with my core and glutes in ways that made me much more confident
I was able to return to running without my typical low back and hip soreness (and no prolapse symptoms!)
My posture has changed and I now have less neck pain
I felt strong going into my next pregnancy and have been able to run further into pregnancy with less pain
I felt very proficient at treating low back pain prior to this class. I was good at helping patients activate their core and get back to running safely. BUT this has added so much to the specificity and efficiency of my treatment approach. It really does make a difference. Click below to experience the difference for yourself.
