Wellness
Looking to optimize your function in a given area rather than treat pain? Your concerns may be categorized as a wellness visit.
Women’s Health
Women’s health visits address concerns and questions surrounding pelvic floor function and pregnancy/postpartum.
Physical Therapy
Decreasing pain with daily life
Orthopedics
Orthopedic concerns are those related to bones, muscles and joints. This could include shoulder, hip, low back or knee pain. I have extensive experience in treating athletic or running injuries, low back, and SI joint pain.
Women’s health
Women experience many challenges while pregnant or recovering from birth. Having completed several pelvic health continuing education courses, I have the unique skills to address concerns specifically related to the pelvic floor both during pregnancy and postpartum.
*Please note physical therapy sessions do require a prescription if care will extend beyond 10 visits or 21 days (whichever comes first)
Wellness
Optimizing function and preventing injuries
Orthopedics
Have a nagging tightness when you run? Shoulder instability limiting your participation in exercise? Want some guidance on how to exercise safely with a given previous injury? Wellness visits are the perfect space for those nagging issues that you want addressed, but don’t feel like “that big of a problem”. Or perhaps you want some injury prevention training for your young athlete. These concerns would fall under the wellness category that does not require a presctiption.
Pelvic Health
Under the pelvic health umbrella, there is so much that women are not routinely taught. What exercise is safe? How do I prepare for birth? What is “normal” postpartum? Wellness visits are the perfect place to gain knowledge and address your specific concerns. Perhaps you just want some guidance on when and how to modify exercise throughout pregnancy. What, specific to your body, can you work on to stay as active as possible throughout pregnancy? I am also able to provide guidance on returning to exercise postpartum as well.
